Storyboard Blog: Visualizing our Project.

  Scene 1: For the beginning shot of the music video , we will utilize a medium shot . This will allow us to get a complete view of the main character as well as the bed he is in. This shows us both c haracter and setting.   Scene 2: Following this shot, we will use a tracking shot that follows the old man walking out of his room. This will highlight the movement of the scene, as he exits his room. This motions into the next scene.   Scene 3: In the third shot , the camera orientation wi ll be set in a medium close - up . We will see a more in- depth view of the old man and his emotions, as well as the setting he’s interacting with.   Scene 4:   For this scene we will use an editing tactic called fade in showing him taking pills to highlight his age then we can fade out into the next scene   Scene 5 : An establishing shot will be used in this scene to get a wide scene of his room which will be messy to show his struggles and t ough life.     Scene 6 : This scene will be us

Research Blog- How we got here

    Our group has decided on the song Stressed Out by 21 pilots. The song is a very nostalgic song, not very sad, but still has that feel to it which will really dictate how we film it. The genre is a midtempo alternative hip hop and rap song. The costumes we will use will make us look like an older version of ourselves to give the feeling of an older person thinking back on their younger days.   Props include a Bed, Notebooks, and more items in a house setting.   The appearance will change from an older looking person to a younger looking person throughout the video to try to tell the story of the song.   The song is decently fast paced and will probably cause us to do quick cuts and transitions throughout the video.    1. The style of the music will make the video will make any video have a nostalgic feeling that we have to be present throughout the video.    2. Planning Blog- the Blueprint is layed out

Props: Main props used within this video are notebooks , a bed, and several other assorted household items. Mainly items connected with childhood. These will be used to rekindle memories and will serve as transitionary elements for the video. For example, a bike can be used to transition to a scene concerning biking when the older person was younger. Overall, props are integral to our project and an assortment of them will be used.     Costumes: Our entire group needs costumes for this video. The focus of the costumes is to give the allusion of an older version of ourse lves. Our family members present in the video will also need costumes to perform their parts. None of the outfits in the video will be formal but will opt for a more comfortable casual appearance.       Schedule:     We will use the 14 th through the 18 th of  November as a planning period to fine tune the main layout of the music video. This will allow us to refine our true vision of what the video should be
